I am both a licensed acupuncturist and a certified massage therapist. I was first Nationally Certified in massage in 1994. I was first licensed as an acupuncturist in New York in 2006, and I got my California license for Chinese Medicine in 2013.

I have gone to Chinese Medicine school twice. California does not accept other states training, and I really wanted to live here again. I have done over 7,000 hours in graduate school, which sounds like a lot to me, too. It has given me different perspectives on doing acupuncture, however, which means I have more ‘tricks in my bag’ than some. There is more about this on the Acupuncture page.

‘Deep Unraveling’ and ‘Massage Therapy meets Physical Therapy’ are the quick ways to think about how I am different from other massage. The bodywork is a kind of Structural Deep Tissue massage that can release old and new injuries and lessen chronic pain, but that is also comfortable and even relaxing. Because I work with your body’s speed of letting go, there is not as much sensation as in some deep work. Between the acupuncture, and the bodywork, people usually leave my office feeling good.
